Hospital administration plays a pivotal role in shaping the quality of patient care and overall healthcare outcomes. Effective administrative practices influence leadership, resource allocation, healthcare delivery systems, and patient satisfaction. This paper explores the multifaceted role of hospital administration in improving patient care quality through leadership, technology integration, human resource management, and quality improvement strategies. The study adopts a qualitative review approach based on existing literature.
Findings suggest that efficient hospital administration significantly enhances patient safety, operational efficiency, and satisfaction levels. The paper concludes with recommendations for strengthening administrative frameworks to achieve sustainable healthcare excellence. The quality of patient care is a fundamental indicator of healthcare system performance, and hospital administration plays a crucial role in achieving and sustaining this quality. In recent years, the scope of hospital administration has evolved from traditional operational management to a more strategic and patient-centered approach.
This study examines the role of hospital administration in improving patient care quality by focusing on key domains such as leadership, resource management, human resource development, quality assurance, and the integration of health information technologies. The paper adopts a qualitative research design based on an extensive review of existing literature, including peer-reviewed journals, institutional reports, and healthcare management studies.
The findings highlight that effective administrative leadership fosters a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement, which directly enhances clinical outcomes and its effectiveness in improving health care safety and quality.
