Abstract

The digital equity and ICT in education by moving beyond the narrow idea of access to devices and internet connectivity. It argues that meaningful digital inclusion requires students to have the skills, confidence, support, and learning opportunities needed to participate effectively in technology-based education. While ICT can improve teaching quality, learner engagement, communication, and access to educational resources, its benefits are uneven when social, economic, gender, geographic, and institutional inequalities remain unaddressed. Digital equity therefore involves not only providing infrastructure but also ensuring inclusive participation and improved learning outcomes. The highlights that equitable ICT use can strengthen educational quality by supporting learner-centred teaching, collaboration, creativity, and academic achievement. It concludes that education systems must adopt inclusive, outcome-based ICT policies that focus on participation, capacity-building, and fairness so that digital technologies contribute to equal and meaningful educational opportunities for all learners.
