Stopping power, penetration depth, and transit time of lithium ions (Li + 3 ) in tissues of human skull bone, jaw muscle and lung air cavity were studied. The density functional theory with modified Bethe equation was used to calculate across the energy range of 0.01 to 1000 MeV. In order to back the theoretical findings, the simulation data of lithium ions concerning the same tissues were taken via SRIM-2013 and analyzed in the MATLAB-2021. Moreover, the average ionization potentials of the tissues under test were determined, with the help of Gaussian 09W. The results of the calculated stopping power, range, and stopping time were in good agreement with the results of SRIM-2013 simulation.
